SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will commence nonstop flights linking Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times weekly, broadening its network between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves the Jordanian capital. The new service offers travelers a second option for flying into Amman and enhances the airline’s scheduled Jordan connections.

Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return journey, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the new route are now available through Air Arabia’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This new connection extends the Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network. The group already links Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, and it also operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route will enable the group to serve Amman City Airport from another UAE departure point while maintaining its current Jordan routes.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new route provides travelers with a second airport option in the Jordanian capital. He emphasized that the service will offer increased convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month before its scheduled launch in November. This route will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport, beginning May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. That service also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers from the UAE capital two options for reaching Amman. In April, Air Arabia reported that the two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport service’s launch.
Sharjah route adds four weekly flights to Jordan
The new Sharjah service, operating under flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network. The airline also features its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can purchase tickets for the Amman City Airport flights before the November 15 launch through the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion further strengthens Air Arabia Group’s Jordan routes through connections from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers now have direct flights operated by Air Arabia to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports, and Alexandria maintains a direct link to Amman City Airport. The launch in November will add four weekly scheduled flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital to the group’s regional flight offerings.
